MXMS share new single “Rx”

Yesterday Stereogum premiered MXMS’ “Rx,” the b-side to the “OMG” single, out today digitally. Their assessment is pretty spot on: “a slow-building noir catharsis that strikes me as the downer photonegative of Republica’s ‘Ready To Go’ or the song that might happen if Taylor Swift ever discovers goth sorceress Chelsea Wolfe.” Yup.

Get it on iTunes now, or pre-order your copy of the 7″ in our shop.

MXMS share “omg” music video

MXMS is the multimedia project of singer Ariel Levitan and pianist Jeremy Dawson. It’s dark. Very dark. The two met in Los Angeles after Levitan moved from New York City in the late summer of 2013. Their first musical collaboration was a song called “OMG.” The haunting video for that track premiered earlier today on Earmilk. Watch it below.

We’re very excited to say we’ll be releasing it digitally on May 26th, backed by another MXMS tune called “Rx.” A limited-edition 7″ will be available on July 24th. You can pre-order it over in our shop now, and catch them on a handful of west coast dates throughout May.

Another tune from Seoul has made its way online. Listen to “Haunt / A Light” above, and pre-order I Become A Shade at iTunes or on limited-edition clear vinyl in the GJ shop.

Metric share new single “The Shade”

You’ve probably heard (because it’s already everywhere), Metric released a brand new single today. It’s called “The Shade,” and it’s a beautiful, synth-driven anthem.

Aside from announcing new music – the first in about three years – the band has promised a full-length later in 2015. And we’re thrilled to let you know that LP will be issued via Metric Music International and distributed by Grand Jury/RED.

You can download “The Shade” on iTunes or stream it at Spotify.

More soon.

Elliot Moss new album “Highspeeds” out today

Elliot Moss’ Highspeeds has officially hit the internet. You can get your copy – including bonus track “VCR Machine,” which is streaming over on Elliot’s SoundCloud right now – on iTunes here.

Speaking of iTunes, they’ve very graciously decided to give away album-highlight “Slip” for free all week long in their Free on iTunes program, click this link to download.

And for our New York readers: tomorrow Elliot will be playing a FREE show at Babys All Right in Brooklyn. Set time is 11pm. Right after our pals in Bully wrap up. Don’t be square.

Seoul

Seoul share “The Line” music video

Premiered earlier today over on FLOOD, “The Line” from Seoul comes courtesy of director Derek Branscombe, Cathode-Ray and Achromatic Media. It’s about as cinematic as they come, which is no surprise considering the panoramic approach these guys take to their music. And since we’re sure you’re going to want to own this track after you watch this video, we have you sorted with options:

Pre-order on iTunes and you’ll get an immediate download. Get a copy of the 7″ in the GJ shop. Or reserve your clear vinyl version of the full-length, I Become A Shade.

Also, don’t forget the guys are still on the road with Ballet School for the next few weeks. Check out the tour section for dates.
