Well, well, well, America. Time to prepare. Twin Peaks are set to tear up most of the US from September to October alongside our friends in Wavves. That’s the tour poster above. This is going to be awesome for completely obvious reasons.

We’re just jealous we weren’t there during the filming of this glorious video for “Suicide Saturday,” from Hippo Campus​’ debut EP Bashful Creatures (get it on iTunes here). Premiered earlier today over on Stereogum.

Yesterday Stereogum premiered MXMS’ “Rx,” the b-side to the “OMG” single, out today digitally. Their assessment is pretty spot on: “a slow-building noir catharsis that strikes me as the downer photonegative of Republica’s ‘Ready To Go’ or the song that might happen if Taylor Swift ever discovers goth sorceress Chelsea Wolfe.” Yup.

MXMS is the multimedia project of singer Ariel Levitan and pianist Jeremy Dawson. It’s dark. Very dark. The two met in Los Angeles after Levitan moved from New York City in the late summer of 2013. Their first musical collaboration was a song called “OMG.” The haunting video for that track premiered earlier today on Earmilk. Watch it below.

We’re very excited to say we’ll be releasing it digitally on May 26th, backed by another MXMS tune called “Rx.” A limited-edition 7″ will be available on July 24th. You can pre-order it over in our shop now, and catch them on a handful of west coast dates throughout May.

Another tune from Seoul has made its way online. Listen to “Haunt / A Light” above, and pre-order I Become A Shade at iTunes or on limited-edition clear vinyl in the GJ shop.

You’ve probably heard (because it’s already everywhere), Metric released a brand new single today. It’s called “The Shade,” and it’s a beautiful, synth-driven anthem.

Aside from announcing new music – the first in about three years – the band has promised a full-length later in 2015. And we’re thrilled to let you know that LP will be issued via Metric Music International and distributed by Grand Jury/RED.
