Mothers announce new album “When You Walk a Long Distance You Are Tired”, share first single “Copper Mines”
New song, new pre-order, more tour dates. So much to report in the world of Mothers. This morning, Noisey unveiled “Copper Mines,” a new song from the Athens four-piece’s February 26th LP, When You Walk A Long Distance You Are Tired.
The album is now available for pre-order. Reserve it on iTunes for $7.99 and immediately receive downloads of “Copper Mines,” and the previously released “It Hurts Until It Doesn’t” and “Too Small For Eyes.” Or if you’d prefer a vinyl copy (yeah, we figured you would…), you can get a limited-edition coke-clear 12″ version in our shop or directly from the band. Features a download of the album with a vinyl-only exclusive called “Accessory Cloud.”
Or, if you’d rather support your local record shop (!!!), you can wait until February 26th and get a version of the album exclusive to independent record stores. That comes on clear green wax, includes the vinyl-only track mentioned above, but also features a zine designed by the band exclusively for the album. It’s limited to 300 pieces, so it’ll probably go fast. Here are pictures. And if you’re unsure of where your local record store is, the folks at Record Store Day have got you covered.
In other news, the band has added dates to their massive tour. Check out our tour section for all of them!
